GWES attended the Building a Resilient Georgia: Partnership and Funding Workshop on Thursday, September 8th at the Georgia Coastal Botanical Gardens in Savannah, GA. The workshop’s goal was to connect experts, local governments, and partners to bolster coastal Georgia’s ability to access state, federal, and private foundation resilience funding. GWES had a booth set up and was able to speak for a few minutes about the part we play in building a resilient Georgia.  In attendance were representatives from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant University of Georgia, University of Georgia Extension Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, Georgia Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division, and Georgia Emergency Management Homeland Security. GWES is proud to be involved in our community and take part in these important workshops.
