PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Due to the expectation of significant growth in the eastern section of its current service area over the next 10-20 years, the City of Perry (City) contracted with GWES to assess the feasibility of expanding sanitary sewer service to the area, where there is currently no sewer infrastructure.  The study was based on potential future sewer service demand and needs based on extensive investigation and coordination efforts with the city utilizing existing comprehensive planning documents and ArcGIS for mapping purposes.  The study included an existing conditions analysis, potential development, service demand, and sewer infrastructure mapping, construction sequencing, an opinion of probable construction cost, and available funding options.  Based on the feasibility study, it was recommended that the city move forward with development and construction of a new wastewater treatment facility in the eastern service area over the next three to five years.
