PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The City of Byron (City) requested engineering services to plan, design, bid, and oversee construction and the installation of storm drainage piping and replacement of an existing water main on New Dunbar Road due to primary problem areas within the City.  The work included the installation of approximately 2,600 LF of storm drainage piping (ranging in sizes from 12” ADS HP Pipe to 48”x76” Class HE-IV RCEP) along with associated storm drainage structures and connections and replacement of approximately 3,000 LF of 12” water main with associated connections and other related work.  Throughout the project, GWES ensured the proper transfer of water services that limited disruptions to residential and commercial properties.  Permitting included coordination with GDOT, GAEPD, and the City.
