PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
GWES, LLC’s (GWES) scope of services included conducting water quality, benthic macroinvertebrate sampling, fish sampling, and submission of the annual monitoring report to Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD). The sampling and monitoring report are required to stay in compliance with the City’s Watershed Protection Plan (WPP).
GWES conducted water quality sampling at 5 sampling locations. Monitoring occurred four times during the year. There was three dry weather events and one wet weather event. Additionally, samples for fecal coliform and E. coli were collected to generate a geometric mean for incorporation into the annual report. GWES also conducted benthic sampling at 4 sampling locations. Benthic sampling was conducted following Standard Operating Procedures for Freshwater Macroinvertebrate Assessment. Additionally, GWES conducted fish community sampling at one location. Fish matrix were calculated and included into the annual report. GWES submitted the annual monitoring report as part of the City’s long-term monitoring plan requirements set forth in the Watershed Protection Plan.
