PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

In 2018, GWES completed the Cambridge Drive and Forest Hill Avenue Sewer Capacity Evaluation Conceptual Design & Funding Analysis to evaluate the viability of potential improvements designed to relieve the existing sewer systems in these areas from capacity issues that may hinder potential upstream development.  Per City of Perry (City) and ESG, Inc. (ESG) approval, recommendations for potential improvements addressing both current capacity issues and the potential flow increase resulting from future development were identified as Design Alternative 7.  These recommendations propose to replace existing gravity sewer pipe and associated manholes from Kings Chapel Road to the 30-inch pipe conveying flow to Frank Satterfield WPCP.

In May 2020, the city requested engineering services from GWES to complete the recommended improvements.  GWES’s services included development of preliminary and final design drawings and technical specifications, associated environmental permits, bidding, construction administration, and land acquisition services.  Construction includes the installation of 6,504 LF of 18” gravity sewer and 2,080 LF of 15” gravity sewer along with associated manholes, accessories, and asphalt/concrete replacement.
