PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The City of Byron contracted with GWES to prepare construction plans for storm drainage improvements along Dogwood Lane due to localized flooding caused by inadequate infrastructure as part of Capital Improvement Project (CIP) “I”. Proposed improvements were broken down into three (3) phases, Phase I consisted of Dogwood Lane storm drainage improvements, Phase II included Howard Street pond improvements, and Phase III included Howard Street storm drainage improvements. Phase III construction included installation of storm drainage piping, headwalls and downstream ditch grading. The work included installation of approximately 40 L.F. of 15” Class IV RCP, approximately 45 L.F. of 15” ADS HP, approximately 40 L.F. of 42” ADS HP, flared-end sections, excavating and hauling 1,100 CY of dirt, best management practices, and other related work.
