PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Glynn County Public Works requested engineering services to evaluate stormwater drainage issues within the Pier Village residential and commercial community on St. Simons Island to evaluate stormwater drainage issues and to determine reasonable solutions for potential improvements. It was determined that a majority of existing infrastructure was inadequate to properly convey stormwater according to Glynn Standards. In order to meet those standards, GWES designed upgrades for a significant portion of the Pier Village drainage infrastructure. GWES performed Construction Services which included daily construction observations, weekly observation reports, weekly construction meetings, submittal and pay request review, utility conflict coordination, public outreach, and daily coordination between the County and the contractor.
