PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Newton County Water & Sewerage Authority (NCWSA) requested engineering services to perform a review of the Brick Store Utility pumping and treatment system assessment completed in 2014. GWES reviewed the April 2014 assessment memorandum, recent permit correspondence, and visited the treatment facility and lift station sites to document any changes in condition. GWES then prepared a technical memorandum that documented findings and developed a budget level estimate for suggested improvements. GWES reviewed the existing generator, reviewed anticipated electrical loads at the lift station, discussed with NCWSA staff regarding desires and preferences, sizing of a replacement generator, and assisted with selection of a replacement generator. Finally, GWES provided general assistance to NCWSA in preparation and submittal of an operating permit application for the facility.
